Our Story

How much do I love you?  Up to the moon and back!

When my daughters were little, we used to say this to each other all the time – and now they’re teenagers we still do (when they’ve got time for me)! 

As a packaging designer, I spent many years helping manufacturers of educational toys develop their product for the market place.  During this time, I saw so many fabulous toys and great ideas that were simply not getting the sales platform they deserved. 

One day around the dinner table, I was discussing this with my family and we all agreed that the ideal solution would be to set up a single source website for the educational toys and gifts that we as a family thought were outstanding.

Up to the Moon was born – a family run website that offers what we think are the very best educational and traditional toy and gift ideas for when you want to give something really special to a child aged between 3 and 12.

In these days of computer games, we believe that a really important part of education is interacting actively with others, so many of the gifts we have chosen encourage co-operation, imaginative play and sometimes just good old fashioned charging around outside having fun with each other!
