Looby Lou Designs was founded by Lucy Bowler in 2005 …….in the shed at the bottom of the garden!

Lucy is a design graduate and mother of three who started by making hand felted, personalised canvases and soon after started to design canvas kits for children to inspire them to make their own pictures.  Lucy now has an ever growing selection of interesting craft products with poems and stories designed to inspire and educate children.  Often children will create stories to go alongside pieces of craft work so she has written and illustrated story line instructions or poems within her products to encourage this learning of expression, visualisation, reading and writing skills. www.loobyloudesigns.co.uk

Buttonbag is a young innovative company breathing new life into old crafts by updating them in a fresh, contemporary way. Since founding the company in 2005 they have grown from making the kits on a kitchen table and selling at a stall at London’s Greenwich market to a design and manufacturing studio in the heart of London’s old traditional textile district in the East End.

Buttonbag craft kits are the perfect way to introduce children to sewing and the thrill and satisfaction of making their own toys and fun accessories. Not all the kits involve needle and thread – there’s plenty of cutting and gluing to get stuck into, but all of the unique craft kits enable children to enjoy the pleasure of saying, “I made this!” Importantly, each craft kit contains everything needed to make the finished item. Sewing kits have needles, sticking kits have glue and toys that need stuffing have stuffing. Their lovely craft kits are designed and made in the UK using a range of beautiful fabrics, wools and trimmings. Educational Gifts for Children

Yellow Door is a small business dedicated to the design and creation of curriculum based educational activities that can help with learning at home. Their primary role is to work with and supply schools and teachers with educational products to get the best out of teaching different key stages and curriculum based activities. They create wonderful literacy based products that help children with their reading, writing and communication skills at nursery, school and at home.
